OUR STORY

Flash is blond, but 100 % tico born in Liberia. He learnt to surf at Playa Naranjo, also known as Witch's Rock. He and his friends from Liberia hiked for hours through the national park, with their boards under their arm to surf in front of the magic rock. It was a time with no worries, only surf on his mind. At the age of 15 he left the city life and moved to Playa Marbella to pursue a beach life where he could surf and fish everyday. It sounds like a dream but it's was hard and he learned valuable lessons during this period of time. He eventually decided to move to Tamarindo, where he got the opportunity to become a surf instructor at WRSC. It was there where Flash developed new techniques to teach people how to surf, including video analysis and surf seminars. In May 2016, Flash stopped working at the surf camp. It was time for him to move on and start-up his own business.

Our goal for Ocean Tours Costa Rica is to show you the real life in Costa Rica. We want you to see the beauty of the whole country. Costa Rica is small but has so much to offer including volcanos, rain forest and a beautiful coast line, that awaits to be discovered. All activities with us are exclusive and personal for small or larger groups. We take care of all our clients and ensure everyone is happy and safe. Let us show you our favorite spots, world class surfing, fishing and the best local food Costa Rica has to offer. Then you'll understand the real meaning of "pura vida".

Johanna & Flash 

Johanna is from the mountains in Sweden. She tried skiing for the first when she was three years old and she loved it! She stared to compete in racing at the age of 5. She eventually took up mogul skiing, a more relaxed sport in Sweden at that time. Johanna proceeded to study at the ski academy and competed on a high level in moguls, until she turned 20. After graduating from the ski academy, she went to Tamarindo, Costa Rica for her first time. She liked it so much that she decided to go back to Central America the following year, stopping in Nicaragua first for a yoga teacher training. From there she went back to Tamarindo where she and Flash found each other. Johanna traveled home to Sweden again after a few months in Tamarindo. It was then she realized that Costa Rica was the place where she wanted to live and Flash was the man she wanted to live with. Everything happens for a reason. We take one day at a time and enjoying every second.
